In early 2020, we launched the S: Drive in the SMB Solutions Cloud to combat messy and inconsistent storage inside the C: Drive. At that time, we created a blog post explaining how to upload documents from SAP Business One to your S: Drive (which you can find here) and the YouTube video explainer (which you can find here).

This updated post aims to refresh your memory about the S: Drive, why you would use it, and where to access it.

Why the S: Drive and Where Can I Find It?

An S: Drive has been created for each individual user to have a secure place to store files in the cloud and one that follows you regardless of the load-balancing mechanisms in place.

Alternatively, the C: Drive is not a private drive; it is not specific to your user code, and documents you saved on the C: Drive may seem to “disappear” if you log in to an alternate server.

You should only ever save files in the cloud to your S: Drive.

The best way to access the SMB Solutions Cloud is via the Web Client; this method is accessible via any browser with a strong internet connection and does not need to rely on possibly older or outdated hardware.

There are 3 Web Client sites available for our 3 global locations – Australia/NZ/Asia Pacific, Europe, USA.

You can access these by clicking the links above or anytime via the Client Hub on our website.

Once logged in, you can access the S: Drive either through the File Explorer or the Documents tab, shown below. Not all users will have the S: Drive automatically set up in their Documents tab, but if you would like this, please reach out to our support.

S: Drive

Once inside the File Explorer, you can see the S: Drive listed as a Network Location under This PC.

You can easily upload and download files from the Cloud using the My Folder tab in the Web Client.

Once you click on the My Folder tab, a new window will open, showing all the documents currently stored in your S: Drive. With an upload limit of 11GB, you can drag and drop files or browse for them on your local computer to upload them to the Cloud.

Vice versa, you can download documents from your Cloud S: Drive to your local computer by clicking Open.

Each user has a fair use limit of 5GB of data. Please contact our support team to discuss your requirements if you need more.

Please monitor your S: Drive to ensure it stays up to date and is decluttered of unnecessary documents.
