The all-in-one service to connect your team and streamline your business communication

To keep your business running smoothly, you need a clear line of communication between everyone in your team. Using integrated communication systems such as 3CX and Mvoice keep everyone connected through VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol).

What is VoIP?

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), also known as IP telephony, is the transmission of telephone calls, multimedia and other voice communications over the internet. Or in simpler terms, a phone line that connects through your internet connection rather than a traditional phone line extension. VoIP endpoints include traditional desktop phones, phone applications running on your PC and mobile devices, and WebRTC enabled browsers.

Trunks – The VoIP Providers, not the Elephants!

Just like with a normal phone line, these VoIP services require a trunk (or provider) to facilitate the connection of the VoIP software to plain old telephone service (POTS) gateways such as desktop phones. Some examples of trunks in Australia include Mvoice, Telstra, Optus and more.

The Benefits of VoIP

  • Lower Costs – IP Telephony can easily transform your telecom network into a unified communications system. Not only will your organisation be able to deliver better customer service, but you can also do so by saving greatly on costs. Working with popular IP Phones and SIP trunks, whether on-premise or in the cloud, your telco phone bill will be reduced. The cost of scaling and expanding your VoIP phone system generally costs less than with a traditional phone line – particularly if you are running your VoIP through the cloud.
  • Easy Scalability – Operating your VoIP system in the cloud not only saves money but it means that when the time comes to expand your business, your technology is ready and able to expand with you.
  • Highly Reliable – Having a strong, reliable internet connection is key to having the best performing VoIP. But in the event of the connection or phones going down, the capability is there to forward the service onto a mobile device or access it from a separate device at a location with internet access.
  • Increased Accessibility and Portability – Generally speaking, all you need to access these services is a device with an internet connection, speakers and a microphone. Majority of people have access to a device with all 3 of these capabilities at any time of the day, making accessibility and portability easy and convenient.

3CX – The Best in Business Communication and VoIP

3CX is an open-platform, VoIP phone system that works with popular IP Phones and SIP trunks whether on-premise or in the cloud. Simple, affordable and flexible, 3CX eliminates the cost and management headaches of outdated, traditional phone systems or the limitations of shared cloud PBXs. They have mastered the important features needed for clear and effective business communication. The biggest highlight of the 3CX service is the WebClient interface – the main communication hub for your business (and ours!).

Here at SMB Solutions Cloud Services, we use the 3CX WebClient and PBX service in our own day-to-day business operations. Below you can see a screenshot of the SMB Solutions 3CX WebClient. As you can see there is a clear view of everyone in our internal business structure, it has their current availability status (all currently set to available) and their extension number. Here you can see if someone is on the line, who they’re speaking with or if they’ve changed their status to Away or Busy if they’re in a meeting or out of the office.

Having a clear view of your People in the business is only one of the features of the 3CX WebClient. As you can see above in the menu on the left-hand side we have the ability to view our saved contacts, chat with colleagues as well as customers, check our call history and listen to voicemails – all through your web browser. The ability to schedule conferences and web meetings is instrumental in a world that has moved to work from home – you can have voice chat and video meetings with multiple people, both internal and external parties, in your 3CX WebClient.
